Tulip Glow

Let it rain outside, I'm still going over some images from last springs blooms that I didn't get around to back then. This one is about an 80% crop of a tulip that caught enough light that it appears to glow. I used NIK's filters to enhance the contrast, highlight the main bloom and enhance dew droplets at top.

Beautiful backlighting. The tulip certainly does glow, and the illuminated dew is a nice element.

Wonderful capture Craig. Indeed, the lighting makes this. Well done.

I think 'glow' is the operative term here. Spectacular light on this blossom. The bg is excellent also. I like this a lot

Great colors, light, shapes and lines, Craig. The Dew really kicks this up a few notches. Love this. Cannot wait to shoot Tulips in Spring specially after a bad season in 2011 with Tulips. I have planted 25 some bulbs last Autumn and should see what reward I get soon

I saw the image before I read who posted it and thought that it sure looks like a Craig Strand image. Lovely lighting and comp. The dew drops are a great addition.

Beautiful lighting indeed Craig. The one large dew drop on the top RC really draws the eye, beautifully seen and captured. My only nit is it would be nice to see the BG flower and leaves toned down a little more as this will make the feature tulip pop just that little bit more. wonderfully seen all the same.Cheers :wavey:

Beautiful light and colors Craig. The very near foreground create a great depth, seen through the window (frame).
Cheers.
