If I remember right this is a stacked photo - may be something like 6 or so shots.

Shot with ND200, AFD200mm F/4 Micronikkor @ F16, 1/25 Sec, ISO200, Tripod, Diffuser and may be reflector too.

Please share your thoughts on this photo.

Ram: Beautiful color palette and I like how the stack let you keep all the anthers sharp and the BG soft. Inquiring minds do want to know what happened to the pistil  . BTW, is Milwaukee in another time zone? Its 2012 in Texas  . Masterful work. >=))>

Bill, I wish I knew what happened to the Pistil - another smart photographer must have swung by before me  .

So, how many of these great flora images do you have left over from 2011? Nice work with the stack. The separation of the anthers from the soft BG is excellent work.

Congrats on your well deserved selection as flora moderator. :toast:

This is completely beautiful. Only small distraction is the dimples in the center bg petal. My preference would have been to have the entire bg that sweet lemony yellow. Dof is excellent and the details are incredible.

I feel like I died and just woke up in "Anther Heaven," if thats possible. I really love this Ram and how the anthers standout, so well defined and contrasted with the flowers OOF soft petals. Very dreamy, thought out and well captured.... nicely done! Thank you also and Welcome as a newly appointed Flora Moderator. Your work, like that of Gary, Lorna and Bills has been a consistent inspiration and learning tool for many of us. :toast: :toast: :toast:

It looks like ballet dancers (upside down) in unison crossing their ankles over their knees. Beautiful presentation and colors!

Spectacular close up view of the stamen! Looks like a meeting....the revolt of the stamen after abolishing a pistil.

My thoughts are this is so beautifully sharp and dreamy at the same time, with perfect lighting. I love the DOF and POV.
