Another version of the falls which a few of us have been visiting more frequently before the access is a bit more expensive. Starting in Jan, a $75 annual entrance fee gets you in. I suppose the owners deal with way too many criminal types...meth labs and such ... making this area hard to patrol. Nothing is free. Not sure that I am up to that fee so I wanted to get a few good shots in the can.

Nikon D300, 14-24mm Nikon, HDR and photo merge blend using CS5.

Full disclosure: I cloned out a log that pocked into the left side of frame. A bit too distracting for my tastes.

I love the falls! The fg leaf is cute. Im not horribly crazy about the white sky in back. Overall, a pretty comp, Ken. If you send me airfare for a trip to Enumclaw ill pay your $75 fee

Stan, the leaf was just for you! I am hoping Santa gives me gnome so I can a'cute'ly place him in the corner for top-drawer man and nature gallery shots. Indeed, leaves are so passé, but they were all I could find. lol

Ken,

I think Stan touched on everything I was going to comment on. The leaf appears placed, however, I think would be an even stronger and better placed element if you cropped this tighter. Which takes care of the other concern of the bright patch of sky in the UR. That brings this to a nicely balanced square image. Don't know of that works for you, but I think a solid alternative. BTW, placing leafs is fine with me, done it myself a number of times. It's all a matter of how well it works with the scene and you did well here.
