Twin Volcanoes

The long Los Andes mountain range is so new that several active volcanoes enhance the scenery, especially in the Northern end of Chile. Such is the case of these 2 so-called "Twin Volcanoes" by the native inhabitants in this part. Parinacota (right, Chilean side) and Pomerape (left, Bolivian side) mark the limit between these 2 countries.

The shot was made at the last hour of a winter day, using a GND 3-stop hard-edge filter. f/9, 1/30sec, 65mm, ISO 200, tripod.

Sweet light! Also like the perfectly-shaped volcanoes.

The foreground looks soft to me.

Nice lighting on the peaks. Love that orange color! The shadows look unnaturally blue on my monitor. I'd tone them down a bit.

Gorgeous, but I feel the GND was a bit too strong

Rodrigo, Nice light on the volcanoes. If it were me, I might crop out the foreground to more of a pano shot.

I agree, this is gorgeous. I might brighten up the sky a little. Very nice light, and an impressive scene!
