Cranes at Crex

Spent a few hours photographing morning rush hour over Crex Meadows wildlife area. An estimated 8000 Sandhill Cranes use Crex as a bed and breakfast on their way to warmer roosts.

Passed this shot over on my initial edit, but after a second look, there is something I really like about the wing position. It hints at the unusual grace in which these birds fly.

Thanks for looking

I agree with you on the wing position and I like where the bird is placed in the frame. :toast:

The overall comp is really nice on this and I, too, like the position of the bird. Sharon
