Here's another multi-flash image from our tour to Ecuador last year. I thought this perspective was a little bit different than most. It was taken at Guango Lodge, probably the best place to photograph this species, this is the female. It's cropped to about 60% of the original image.

Mark III 300F4 1/200 F25, iso 500, 580ex, 6 Nikon Sb-26 slave flashes, gitzo tripod, artificial background, hummingbird feeder

Great comp and you see just enough of that R eye to make this work for me. Gorgeous bg, flowers, and bird. Sharon

Love this POV and flight pose as the hummer nectars, this BG works very well too.
I might remove the few tiny sensor spots I see in your LP Nate, my only nit.
Well done! :toast: :toast:

This is a truly special image, Nate. Great comp, gorgeous colors and soft, but colorful OOF background. A winner all around.

Outstanding Nate. Beautiful BG compliments the subject well and the vertical stretch and horizontal wing position is very neat. :toast:

I love the symmetry of the image. The bird seems almost an extension of the flower, or vice versa.
Very special picture, congratulations.
