hi all,

this was in day light, I used 10 stops ND filter in this photo.

it was in Iceland in area called Jökulsárlón.

36 sec. @ F16 with Canon 17-40 and canon 5D mark II

see the bigger size for better view

I hope you like it and your C&C is required

thanks, :toast:

A fascinating place that I hope to visit one day Abdulmajeed. For me the main interest is the chunk of ice in the foreground, has such a sparkle to it. I do like the background but would prefer it if the highlights could be toned down a little.

Very cool image. I really like the long exposure on the water and the chunk of ice in the foreground with the dark foreground rocks. I could also see a shot that excluded everything else.

The crystal quality to the ice makes a very strong focal point in the scene. Really nice composition and lighting.

This is an interesting photo. You have taken the liberty to break the "rule" about cutting the frame in half and created an image that looks like 2 images. One of ice and water, the other of land and sky. This particular presentation immediately reminded me of the work of Jerry Uelsmann. http://www.uelsmann.net/

Intended or not. the effect makes the viewer study the image to try to resolve the spacial ambiguity. Nice.
