Sometimes the elements get in the way of our seeing clearly, so that is when it's more about our perceiving rather than seeing.
Comments and critiques always welcome, and thanks for looking,
Morris

Seeing something different photographically causes curiosity in the viewer. That's a good thing. Look at William Neill's work. More questions than answers. Great presentation Morris.I need to do more of this kind of thing.

Wonderful layers of color, and then the snow added to the mix makes this really sing. Top notch image Morris.

Trippy look to this one, Morris. It looks like you were shooting through some old mottled glass. Neat, dreamy effect.

Trippy Morris. I've tried shots like this with little success. Congrats on capturing something unique.

One of a kind Morris! This is wonderful. The more I have looked the more I'm enjoying this. I agree, very unique!

I like it, nice capture. I might crop a bit from the top if this were mine.

Different is what photography is all about. Great seeing past the normal everyday shooting and keep this style up my friend.
I would be interesting to see a larger print to explore more.
Great work

A nice scene Morris. It has a kind of abstract watercolor feel to it.

Definitely unique. This looks like one of those pointillism paintings. I love the layers, especially the yellow stripe in the middle. Cutting some of the top could possibly make a neat panorama as well.

Well it works for me. I like the color contrast of the flowers and the distant blues.

The rain gives this a painterly feel - not quite impressionistic but kind of along those lines. As I was scrolling down I noticed that I also like this with a crop just above the top of the middle ground trees into more of a panoramic format.

Wonderful that you perceived this, Morris, and in my experience, quite an accomplishment. (Shutter speed as well as contrast are critical) I think you could do without so much of the top, if it does not show the precip better than it does in this small Web version.

Wow Morris....very ballzee....if you know what I mean.
I'm not stunned by the image itself but by you're vision and attitude that inspires you to post a shot like this totally outside the boundaries of what is normally well accepted in this gallery. No blazing sky backing up the big foreground with smokey water in between just a straight forward shot of the elements taking center stage and the landscape reduced to a subtlety. The abstract half of my brain really likes it.

Your words are perhaps more powerful than your image! I agree with Dean in that this raises more questions than it answers? Is that snow or rain? Is this summer or winter? What the heck were you thinking? ok, that question I just tossed in there.
Not the most flamboyant image, but perhaps your best. Congrats on crafting this imagery.

Cool shot, Morris--but you really need to get that sensor cleaned!

This is a great concept Morris. I, for one, appreciate your different take on the landscape. You are leading us out of the ruts with this one. It has a lot of character and fresh appeal. Thanks!

Very nice, Morris. Looks like some painted sponging work. I shot a series through dirty glass windows once... reminds me of that effect. Lovely layered comp with a dreamy feel.

I like how the rain gives the view a spattered look with less contrast, and becomes more of a soft pastel coloring. One option may be to crop above the treeline drawing more focus upon the foreground.

Thanks Morris, I'll give you a shout when we get to CO, probably at the end of the month. Looking forward to scenes like this one.
