Peace, until the 12th

I guess Andy our paths must have crossed.

Taken earlier this week, this Red Grouse was taking advantage of the warm early morning sunshine we have been experiencing before the 'Glorious 12th' starts, thats the shooting season for this bird, where vast amounts of money is paid to 'bag' these game birds.

Frankly, I prefer shooting birds as you have. This is a great photo, I love the way the light is shining on the grouse, really brings out the colors. Great job.
