White Glow

It's been a awhile since I've been on line. I need to catch up.

Yesterday was my first attempt at "crams" and this one came out the best. Suggestions greatly appreciated. I can't decide if I like the stem on the left side of the bloom. My wife says it should stay so I said "Yes dear" like a good husband.

This is beautiful Steve. I don't really view it as an image with a subject (and your title supports my interpretation, I think) but more as a micro landscape. And in that case I do think the stem belongs there. For my tastes, it adds interest and strength to the composition. I like this image very much as posted. I think your title is perfect for it.

Steve: Hey this is easy, just ditto Pat. Cramming is a blast and can really produce some artistic results. This is one. >=))> :toast:

Stem seems to be an integral part of the composition to me. I would not remove it if this were to be my photo. Love the shallow DOF and the great wash it has created. Lovely Work, Steve  .

I have had some good luck with Shasta Daisies myself this week.

I like the softness of this one a lot. The cram works great and the light and understated colors all work to make a very nice image.

Steve
This is very nice. I like Pat description of a microlandscape - the POV is like the view of a small animal or frog crawling under these clumps of flowers, in which case, the stem is part of the image. Very well done.

Really beautiful Steve. The whites look like mist. The diagonal stem is slightly distracting to my eye, but again that's just my opinion. Overall, this has a wonderful quality about it!

Hate to tell you Steve, but I think your wife is right! Dont you just hate that!! I think the stem really adds interest here. I think it adds a nice counter-point to the vertical of the other stem, and the opposing angle of the rightmost petals. Lovely shot!!

Yes, the glow of the white subject is really splendid. I love the mysterious, moody backgroud too.
Take care.
