A very hot summer

by Giuseppe Guadagno

Gallery: FloraPosted July 4, 2011539 views26 comments
Very hot summer: fife suns high in an incandescent sunset sky.
This is my mirage. You know the reality: a nice yellow Hibiscus.

D700, Nikkor 200mm. macro - f/5,3 and ISO 280
Nothing special in editing.

Always very glad for comments and advices.

Gigi,

I am hard pressed to tell you how much I admire this. I'd have it on my wall in the blink of an eye. Wonderful detail and space. As fine a representation of a yellow hibiscus as I've seen - very much a photographer's hibiscus I think. Exceptional image for my tastes.

Gigi: What a great concept and result! I also know how difficult it is to manage the plane of focus to get all the little trumpets sharp. A masterpiece from a true master. >=))>

Unique and masterfully done Gigi. Now drink some water. You're dehydrated and hallucinating out there in the hot sun. :jump:

Outstandingly creative, Gigi ! Thoroughly abstract - yet most clearly an hibiscus. A marvellous image in every respect.

You have an amazing eye for the slightest detail in the flower and the ability to isolate these details for maximum impact. This is AWESOME. I can't say enough how much I love this one. I am a fan of your work, in general, and this is another stunner!
