Mill Creek Canyon, Moab Utah. Taken just as the sun was going down behind the canyon rim. The opposite wall was reflecting the light as pure gold. Nikon D7000, polarizing filter, 18-105 lens

Interesting composition and some wonderful light. Isolating the gray rock with just one of the rocks along the LHS may have worked well too, but the symmetry here is quite pleasing.

This is very eye-catching. The colors and movement in the water is stellar. The gray rock is very isolated among all that gold

That is really interesting, Dan. Almost wish it were a bit tighter and without the foam as those lenticular shapes below the rock are what really catch my eye.

Based on comments received, I went back and reworked the image. The rock really was blue when I loook back at it. I found a nice way to handle mixed light - I was working with virtual copies in LR, and noticed that one had the blue rock, but the highlights all had a blue cast. Another one had the neutral highlights, but the rock was grey. The only difference between the two was the WB. I opend them both in PS as layers, then used a layer mask to brush in the WB I wanted as needed. This is the result.
