Spring Veil

I liked the slanting rock layers veiled behind the falling waters here. This is a small part of an unnamed intermittent "staircase" waterfall in the Adirondack Mountains. It often dries up in the summer, but heavy spring rains and snow melt bring it to life.

Very nice Wayne - I like the way the falls fans out and the wet texture of the wall. I do wish there was a bit more room at the top though.

A seasonal treasure! A beautiful waterfall for sure. You did a nice job capturing it. I don't think it needs any more room on top; but I would like to suggest a small crop to the right to bring the main fall into the center and a small crop to the bottom to cut out some of the lighter colored rock in the lower left.

Nice find Wayne. I like the coolness of the water and the overall flow (SS). Personally, I would not crop it to center, and the top portion is fine. I like the little trickle effect coming down to join the major flow. That's all you need. NICE!! :toast:

I agree Wayne, nice lines and good speed on the water. What Bill said about room on top bit it looks pretty good in that regard as is. :toast:

Beautiful image as posted Wayne. I love the fan of the water and the diagonal flow in the upper photo

I like exactly what you like here, Wayne. There are any number of ways you could crop this if you wanted, but it works quite well as presented and I don't have a strong recommendation one way or the other. I might keep it just as-is if it were mine.

Beautiful veil Wayne. The wall of silvery tones created by the wet rocks is also gorgeous. I agree with Tyson on the bright rock in the lower left. Maybe burning it down a bit would make it less obvious. Fantastic scene overall.

I really like the comp on this, Wayne. The textures and diagonals work well. Water maybe a bit on the cyan side, but probably replicates how it would look under an open sky.

Great job. I agree with you about the angled rocks. The fan of the falls is very interesting also and I especially like the little section of rocks at the bottom.

Nice capture Wayne. Like the exposure and comp. I think its a bit too tight though. I think adding a bit more of its natural surroundings would emphasis such pictures.
