Valley of Fire

This image was taken over Easter weekend in Valley of Fire near Lake Mead, NV. I thought the S-curve of the road added a pleasing shape to the scene.

Very nice, Doug. Good lighting. I love this place; was there 3 yrs ago and would love to go back and spend more time.

Lovely lighting. You're right about the road making a nice S-curve, but I'd like to see it intersect the bottom of the frame. Then it would have an even stronger role as a leading line. The lighting makes the shapes on the horizon really dramatic.

Steve, here is a tighter crop to get the road leading from the bottom. I agree with your suggestion. Thanks.

Beautiful light Doug. Your repost works best IMO. The S curve is a very effective guide through the scene.

Looks like you had some great light Doug. The road is a nice addition as well.

Nice job. The sweet light on the rocks are a nice foil for the blue sky.

Very nice image Doug. The "S" curve of the road is perfect. It really leads the eye through the scene.

Looks like a scene from a road atlas. Well done, Doug. I like the contrast of the smooth pavement against all those rock textures.
