Taken last saturday in a garden. I liked the weathered appearance of this flower.

40D 100mm
f11 1/25
ISO 400

Thanks for viewing.
C&C are very welcome.

Hi Monica. Your flower is so very natural. The polin scattered about is wonderful. A bit more real estate at top might be a slight improvement but who cares it is so nice. :jump:

Monica, you have definitely portrayed the age of this flower. I like the colors and all the pollen that can be seen.

Fantastic Monica, for me the POF displays power, and the rest is a tag along. Wonderfully done.

Monica, as fine an example of presence in an image as I've seen. Love the detail. That said. If I could change one thing it would be to get the fg petal in sharp focus. Striking image even so.

Monica,

I echo the previous comments, it is about the center of the flower and the pollen. However that petal is a slight distraction as mentioned previously. I'm not technically adept enough to propose a solution and would have struggled with the DOF as well.

I like this unusual image, Monica. As to C%C, I always like better a soft petal in the back, rather than in the front. But this is very personal:

Nice shot Monica, I like the pollen all around. Maybe some more room all around and a less centered composition could work fine.

A fine image. Awesome colors. While I would prefer the front petal in focus, that's not always possible. :toast:

Monica, you've certainly captured the textures here, and also some very rich color. Nice work.

Very cool image. I do agree with Gigi comment about the soft focus in the fronat rather thaln the back but the weathered textures and details are excellent. This would also be a great subject for a stack IMO. Nice work.
