Mudjimba Twilight

This shot was from a few weeks ago when we had an amazing sunset that turned the whole sky pink. This shot was taken as the pinks started to disappear, even though I was happy with the earlier shots this was my favourite.

The island is known as 'Mudjimba Island' or 'Old Woman Island' and is a local icon here on the Sunshine Coast.

I don't normally post large images but thought a slightly larger version would help view the island.

I'm enjoying the colors and the exposure on the water, beautiful Neil. I do wish it was a study of sea and sky, I find the island to be a distraction.

Very nice one, Neil. The sky is a amazing and I love what's going on there color-wise. The water looks nice but for me the foreground is a bit too empty and separated because of the white band of water ahead. Personally I like it more as a panorama with about one third cropped from the bottom.

Wonderful patterns and color palette. The little island adds a lot to the composition.

I ove this as is presented. I think the combination of colors is amazing and the island just draws me in.

Shame I have so far from the Sunshine coas Neil. Being able to capture this would is worth a trip from WA :)
I like the composition and the soft feeling form this capture. I think the island adds a lot to it. Though I appreciate where Andreas is coming from I do believe the softness made by texture of the clouds works very well with the water. This makes me look at the most sharp part of the composition which is the island.
Great edit and capture Neil!

Hi Neal,

The colors (may or may not) be 100% natural, or should I say accurate, but regardless, the palette you have presented here is enthralling. I'd crop slightly off the top. Wonderful ambiance.

Sweet. I like the simple comp so the colors and textures become more prominent.

I like this a lot just as presented. A wonderful color palette and the little island provides a nice visual anchor.
