I use this title for the conditions of this particular fall 3 years back, and for the conditions this particular morning along Dallas Divide in Colorado.

Comments and critiques always welcome, and thanks for looking,

Morris

Beautiful shot here, Morris. It must have been amazing to take all of this in. The color in the tundra and the aspen groves is nice and I love all of the snow on the Sneffels range. The hovering low clouds send this one over the top. Great work!!

Morris, Great image! I see there's a lot of wonderful color in the sky, but for some reason, I'm inclined to crop a 1/3 of it down...

Hi Morris

Very appropriate name indeed. What an enormous scene, which is feeling strained within this little jpeg. Must look incredible printed large. The only thing that looks a little off to me is the pink sky, just seems a little to hot and saturated. I would also look at toning down the cyan shadows at the foot of the mountains. Otherwise it is a beautiful image. Well Done!

That's a majestic view and what looks like a great valley to walk through. I love the little hill in the foreground that keeps the lower part of the shot alive. The clouds back there work well and add a much to the mountain scenery. I'm not completely sold on the magentas in the sky - they look a little too strong for me and I might play with that a little more.

Magical. I really like how the colour in the sky is also in the near FG.

What a beautiful scene. Had to be a wonderful feeling standing there. I like it with just a bit of the dark magenta cropped out of the upper sky. I love the feel you captured with this scene Morris. Nice Work! :toast:

Wonderful landscape, the bold colors definitely have an "optimal" impact.
I especially like those low lying clouds and this expansive vista..
Well done and thank you! :toast:

Nice shot from the DD, Morris! A little different from the standard fare since it focuses on the expansive view and conditions rather than the usual Sneffels and Fall color combo. The clouds make it work. Purple feels a bit strong, but like ice cream, people are addicted to color so you're best off leaving it.

Very majestic view Morris. From the dabbled light on the trees in the foreground to the low lying clouds and snow covered peaks, I am enjoying this. As a few mentioned already, the sky seems a bit pink but regardless, this is a grand view.

Beautiful Image Morris, I think with a little bit more work keeping the suggestions given in mind, this will be exceptional. I to find the magentas a bit strong. Beautiful image regardless.

Morris, very beautiful shot. What a nice scene. :toast:

With the suggestions already given taken onto account I think this rocks. I'd add that the sharpening looks a little weird on my monitor (I finally have a graphics quality monitor and know some may not even see it). I'm not sure how you web sharpen but I think there is room for improvement.

BTW until I got this monitor I could not even see what I am talking about here. So it really depends on what you are viewing it on.
