I was out at Cedar Canyon on one of the first really nice spring mornings. There was a little lingering fog from the early morning. I would like some feed back about how this works. Thanks for your comments they are always appreciated.

I think it's a fine composition of a scene that few of us see.
Could use a Levels adjustment (black point) and perhaps a bit of a contrast boost.

Richard, this is a consistent composition of the scenery. The muted colors and low contrast fit in with the specific atmosphere. In my opinion the crop at the bottom is rather tight, I would wish to see a bit more of the foreground. Anyway, an interesting an pleasant image.

Not sure if that's fog or haze, but it certainly adds some nice depth to the image. Almost wish for a bit more of the orange foreground at the bottom, or maybe crop it entirely.

Richard,

This works pretty well, but I think is missing something to keep me engaged longer. Without your description, I would have thought hazy before I thought lingering fog, which leads me to want a bit more contrast as John mentioned. Also agree about the bottom crop. Just one of those instances where either more should be included, or none at all - as far as the bottom goes. For me, the interest is in the slope off the butte, the trees and line created from that slope. The sky and hazy background don't add much for me. Cropping the sky completely and boosting the contrast might be a stronger image, but then you would lose the view and perhaps the experience you were trying to capture.

A nice feeling of an expanse to roam in. I like John's suggestions. This should be revisited in the Spring, too.
