WC#475 Moonrise, Arches

Some really nice bird sillouettes posted so far this week. But I don’t do birds so here’s a landscape sillouette from Arches National Park. I went way back into the archives for this – it’s a 1985 Kodachrome slide converted to b&w. The scan left quite a bit of noise in the sky. I took as much of it out as I thought I could get away with but there’s still some grain left.

C&C appreciated.

Cool. It could do without the empty bottom quarter for a bit of a semi-panorama crop. I personally really like the grain in the sky here - it adds a lot of character and works with the whole B&W colour scheme.

Barry, a really dramatic atmosphere, the film grain offers an interesting texture. Personally, I think of cropping some part of the bottom to reduce the dominant black area. Anyway, an impressive image!

I like the moodiness of the black and white presentation. Beautiful!
