Turkey Vulture on Beach

I was in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico for vacation a few weeks ago and was out taking pictures early one morning of feeding Pelicans. I noticed something land out of the corner of my eye and to my surprise, it was a Turkey Vulture! He allowed me to get fairly close and continued to comb the beach for any bits of edible scraps. I really like how the colors came out against the beach and the warm morning sunrise.

Really like the unusual setting for this vulture Bryan. I like the light on the bird and the way your composition allows for the shadow. My only suggestion would be to see if you can coax a little more detail out of those bright lower legs.

Lovely lighting and detail here Bryan, I like your comp as well including the whole shadow of the bird. I see these guys on the beach in Ecuador quite a bit. :toast:

Very nice light on this vulture, Bryan. Really nice detail and a great pose with a nice catchlight. About as pretty as you make one of these guys.

Well done image of this "not so pretty" bird. I do like the detail in the red head.
