As promised the succeeding frame after the catch. Again not the best light to work with. This guygets more attention from the paparazzi then the chics in thongs LOL. In hind sight I wish I had the aperature at 7.0

Perfect action shot with really nice action and beautiful colors. Lighting doesn't bother me.

Excellent shot. I really like the interesting colors on this egret and wonderful timing to get the fish in the bill. The shallow water going to deeper water really adds to the image for me,
way to go, well done.

The colors in the bill are awesome, Cheryl. Nice capture with the fish.Very nice light. I agree f7.0 may have given you a bit more detail in the back of the Egret. Very nice image as posted.

Not sure I would pay more attention to this guy than girls in thongs Cheryl, but I would say I might pay attention to both
Love the color, exposure, detail etc. Might consider cropping just a smidge off the left so it doesn't appear to be so centered.

Beautiful - love the wind-ruffled feathers, colors, and detail.
Light is just fine from here.
Nice!

Dynamic image Cheryl, I think it worked out just fine at f/4.5
The subject is nicely isolated in the frame, and the stop action is wonderful here.
Very nice, wish it was mine :toast:

A really nice image Cheryl. Love the foot up and the fish. Water is great too. The plumage on the head and neck really stand out. Well done.

Very nice shot, Cheryl ! I like the pose of the bird, with his prey in the bill and the lovely tender colors of this image.
Lighting does not bother me at all, ...but I share your comment about an aperture at 7.0...

Nice 'catch', the fish I mean. This is a lovely image, and the light is not a problem for me. Nice composition and detail. Beautiful BG Cheryl.

Super details and a great setting for this double capture. I don't think the aperture is a problem as it separates the heron from the background, and there is plenty of DOF and sharpness on the heron.
