WC#471 Broken Wing

The right wing on this kestrel is broken, but luckily he was showing me his pretty side. He can no longer survive in the wild, so he lives at the Audubon Center for Birds of Prey in Orlando. Maybe not the ideal life for a bird, but still a life.

Critiques and comments are very welcome and appreciated. Thanks for looking!

Broken wing but still beautiful
Love the perch, color and sharpness, but wish the horizon line was above the birds head.
Might consider cropping to place the bird further to the right.
Great shot!

Beautiful little fellow. It may not be an "ideal" life, but think of all the pleasure he is bringing to those seeing him - and perhaps that little boy or girl who sees him for the first time is so inspired that he/she wants to learn everything about birds and grows up to be a birder or photographer.
Wonderful detail and colors, and nice perch.
I agree that moving him to the right to be off-center would improve this even more.
Really nice!

A beautiful shot, really like the color balance and DOF here! Only problem for me is that w/o your comments, i can't see anything 'damaged' here
