Snow Squall

At the end of a January day trip into Yellowstone, we came home to find this storm apparently heading our way. In spite of how violent it looked, it turned out that this squall was moving across the valley, not up the valley and we never saw any snow or felt significant winds.

I think the sky should dominate the photo more. Also, I feel that the foreground is too bright. The cloud formations in the sky are hard to see. A polarizer might help, but similar may be accomplished with brightness/contrast or using the blacks slider. And the most dramatic part of the sky is centered. That is certainly a beautiful line of clouds.

Mark, Those are some nasty-looking clouds! Glad they didn't prove as forboding as they look !
I really like the color contrasts here - the red barn, whitish clouds, yellow field and blue mountain. Very effective.
A little more brightness to the sky, and some added contrast overall, would heighten the drama here.
Very nice entry in this week's WC!

That's an impressive storm. And the house gives a nice sense of scale. Well done.

That's quite a disturbance. I like that we see the storm and the as yet untouched farm.

Very interesting cloud formation. I think a little more contrast would bring them out more.
