Misty River 2.5

Sony A700
Minolta 24-85 @ 60mm
ISO 100, 1.3 secs @ f16, CPL
Still messing with my Orton fetish

Going to revisit the florascapes again. Taken from the same place as Misty River 2 but in slightly different light and with warmer processing. There was a warm glow to the light in the original captures and the mood changed constantly as clouds masked and revealed the late afternoon sun. All comments welcome.

I really like this Bill. Great mood coupled with sense of place. I'd like to be there,

Oooh, that is warm, and it feels nice. Beautiful scene, with the mist providing wonderful depth. If that's the Orton effect, it's done to subtle perfection -- does not look at all "manipulated."

Aptly named Bill. Really like the mood of this; it seems so serene.

I definitely prefer this warmer version....seems to fit the season's mood a little better. The mist helps create a nice sense of depth. I ready for fall, already.

Bill:
This one is different, warmer and just as beautiful. I marginally prefer Misty 2 as it is slightly dimmer but more moody compared to this one.

Another fine shot from your series. This one makes me want to be sitting right there and dwelling on the impact of my life in this world. A pensive mood inducing photograph. Very well done!

I like this one better than "2" altho' they each set off different moods. Nicely done, Bill.

Great atmosphere Bill. I love seeing back down the river a bit. Nice amount of water compared to trees.

I really like the warm light here, but the fog feels very heavy compared to the other image (making me like version 2.0 better). What a beautiful place!

This seems so serene, Bill !! Apart from the lighting, with the distant trees glimpsed so beautifully, the low horizon of the water helps create a wonderful sense of distance - it's a very, very beautiful image.
