Seaweed Salad

It occurred to me that I need another shot for my gallery, so I decided to go with flora. This photo contrasts a bit with the isolated and solitary plant/flower shots often seen here, but why not. Algae is pretty amazing. This may seem a bit busy, but this image is about profusion and life. It was shot on velvia in 645 at Cape Arago State Park on the Oregon Coast.

Robert: I like the subject and agree with your take on the abundance of this scene. The highlights drag this down a bit IMO. Not sure if you used a polarizer but that would be my first counsel in order to bring out some of the colors and textures a bit better. >=))>

I'm in agreement with Bill about the polarizer. It's a bit shiny but it does look a bit like salad!

Robert,

The variety of shapes and textures are interesting to me but I don't really find a pattern or single element where my eye can rest. That may be what you intended and what you like though. If that's the case, the reflections add to the sense of chaos and energy and give the image more impact.

Robert:
I echo Bill's comment about the highlights. Also you might like to consider cropping a little off the lower border where the density of growth is a little sparse.
