Northern Pintail
by Harry Harris
While walking the elevated tail at Bolsa Chica Eco Reserve, I began watching the activities of some Pintails. Usually they swim just out of range but a male and female came in close enough for some shots. I wish the light was more to my back but this is the best I could get. I took some of the best Pintails shots I have made so far and I like this pose the best. I realized after that with the improving light I should have lowered my ISO. Just a little sharpening and decreased the whites. Crop shows 33% of original.
