Really nice. The FG is nice and the touches of color and light in the bg along with the reflection really completes the image.

I really like the foliage and the reflection and the autumn color in the background. But the extent of the whitewater in the foreground overwhelms the composition somewhat for me personally. The right 2/3rds of the image seems to work better as a suggested alternate crop.

Quite interesting how the bottom part of the image is all about flow and the top fall colours and reflections. Very nice.

Julian,

Very nice. I went back and looked at the other picture of the pair; I think this one appeals to me more. It's a great tension between the black-and-green in the foreground and the fall colors in the background.

I might try bringing up the highlights (such as they are) in the background, to help create more depth and pull the viewer's eye back.

Love the feathery texture in the water, colors, and comp. The background light adds a subtle "painterly" (in positive sense of the term) quality which I find very appealing.

Julian,

Who would have guess? But this one is just as lovely as the previous, although perhaps less complicated. I really like the dominance of the flow here and even the brightness of the middle part of the reflection doesn't bother me; I really like the sheen captured. For an almost 50/50 comp, this composition works very well. Nice work Julian.
