At least in my imagination this is how a Bougainvillea blossom might look in pale wintry light... It was taken at the crack of dawn.
Since the metadata shows that VR was on, I was handholding the 70-200 to take this shot. It was taken at f/8, 1/100s, +1 EV, ISO 200 and 140mm. I'm sure from the nature of the shot that I was also using the Canon 500D diopter.
I'm posting a link under
Purchase Print to the location of the four-seasons flowers. Have not decided 100% which of the flowers belong in the series and would love your opinions. At the moment, I'm leaning toward
Mid-Summer Madness because of the interest factor for Summer, and this one for Winter.
It was a fun series to work and I learned a lot--especially about how the quality of light affects the feeling presented by the image. The pot of Bougainvilleas was a Godsend and the plant grew like a weed. I carefully placed it by the trash pickup and I hope someone else has adopted it
I'm off to practice shooting birds and to interview for a volunteer position with the California state parks and I'll be thinking of you guys even though I may not have time to post or critique.

Cheers,
Carol
