One from last summer. This male cisticola was catching the early morning sunlight when he wasn't vigourously advertising his territory

I love the pose and the muted colours

Some may comment about the background but for me its no problem

Rob: You certainly have some beautiful birds in your part of the world, and you capture them very well. Love this pose. Perfect head turn and the environment is special. I really like the overall green tones with just enough yellow to really make this little guy pop. Very nice.

What a neat looking little bird. Love the eye contact and the perch. I guess it couldn't decide which part of the perch was better?

Love the comp here Rob. Great DOF too on the bird. Nice BG and the perch plant really has character. Nice exposure on the bird with your usual great detail and sharpness. Well done.
