San Antonio Texas. Woodlawn Lake.
D3 ISO 640. 300/2.8 with 2x tc f5.6 1/800 -1.0ev. 70% of original. Handheld laying on stomach on a pier. Very early morning sun.
Maybe not that dynamic, but I thought a lovely duck.

The low perspective works and the quality of light is excellent! Well done!

Beautiful light. Your low angle paid off. It feels a little tight in the frame to me. Sounds like you've got a little more room since this is a crop.

Hi,
a lovely shot of one of my top 5 Ducks. The low point of view and early morning light make it for me.
Maybe a bit tight in frame but thats always down to personal preference

I really like the low angle you got here, it was worth laying down for.
The warm morning light is wonderful, I love how it lights up the eye. Well done.

One of my favorite ducks... I like how the head is so well lit and the rest of the body is lingering in the shadows

The light makes the image. Good detail. Nice water. A little tight for my tastes.

Beautiful light and angle Angela, I especially like the water texture behind the bird. As others have mentioned this is a little too tight for my tastes, but comp is a personal preference. Love the great view of the eye and the profile of the bill.

Really like the dramatic lighting Angela and your relatively tight composition works perfectly for me in this case because it allows us an intimate look at the highlighted front of the bird. Nice low angle also.

I chose the tight crop for the detail and front-end lighting results. Also the foreground blur was not that appealing below the chosen crop line.

Great low angle here Angela. Love the light and the water. The spotlight affect on the birds head and breast really make this pop. Very well executed.

I really like the spotlight effect on the birds face and the interesting colors in the background.

The lighting on this shot is great. Fine detail and composition. I have begun shooting water foul and would be delighted to have a shot like this.

I'm a little late to this one Angela, but it's a beautiful shot with moody light, well done.
