A small section of a pretty waterfall that gently cascades about 50 feet down a hillside slope when we get enough rainfall. Shot at ISO-100, 1/3rd second, f-8.0, CPL. Thanks for looking and any C&C!

A good effort. I don't know what was to the right out of frame, but I'm wishing that there was a little more room on the right and less on the left.

I second Jim's comments. Here I would crop from the left to really make the image focus more on the 2 falls side-by-side. I would also consider bringing down the midtones -- it looks a little flat to me.

Bisecting a corner as with the log in the ulc is a comp no-no. It does work on one level as it repeats somewhat the line of the falls, but usually it's better to not have one. I don't know what your options were for moving to the left and eliminating the log and composing more with just the two falls, so I can't say that would be possible. I also agree that the image is flat, and don't know if shadow recovery was used or not. But, maybe as Mat suggests, adding back in some adjustment to the midtones. All personal preferences, of course.

What Jim and Mat said. More local contrast could make this much snappier. I might bring the brightness down a little in conjunction with that.

There was a wild tree root to the right and lots of little sticks and branches, but there is/was room for many more comps. Definitely can use some sharpening and contrast I see on here.
Morris, I appreciate what you're saying about the comp and log, but I like it for exactly the reason you pointed out--repeating the downward motion of the falls.
Thanks guys!
