Please look at my Re-Post, too. I hated cutting the mountain off on the right...What do you think? in or out?

I Took this at dawn the day we left Banff. It was taken through a window on the 8th floor, as we were leaving our room at the Banff Springs Hotel. The mountains were spewing fireballs...........what a glorious goodbye to one of my favorite places!

Looks like a dramatic sky, Lucy. One suggestion would be to crop out that tiny bit of foreground in shadow along the right edge of this frame.

I see some artefacts on my screen that look like you cloned out something in the foreground...?

Cannot seem to re-post. Will re-post with changes in the same gallery, when it will let me.
I decided to blacken the whole darn mountain. There were just too many odd snow patches to fix!

Thanks for the wonderful critiques! It looks better now!

Too bad there was a window in your way. Still, its a great sky and worth shooting through glass.

Lucy you can repost by making another comment while adding the new file via the browse button. Link to the new file and click "Add comment" and the new file will be displayed within the comments section. I'd like to see your updated version too.

You had a spectacular sky to work with and over all it's well captured but on this monitor a couple of the clouds look a bit hot.

cropped and reduced the yellow sat in the "boiling" sky. Although on my computer, the less intense yellow does not look as good== looks washed out IMHO.

Thanks, I used all your suggestions
