This is a stream in Ricketts Glen SP in NE PA. If you have not been to this park, put it on your list of places to photo. The 20+ waterfalls on the loop trail are spectacular.

I am interested in comments on this photo but I would also like to know if you think the terraced rock in the foreground would make a good close up. I struggle with finding more intimate compositions and I did not even notice this rock until I arrived home and looked at the photo.

Very nice image. I like the comp featuring the diagonal flow and the terraced rock in the foreground. I am sure that the terraced rock would provide lots of compositional possibilities. In fact, I think this image may have had more impact if you got closer to that feature and made it more prominent. I really need to get over and photograph this area.

Definitely, go for the rock.

This is a great shot of a wonderful scene, but appears quite yellow on my monitor. Beautiful nevertheless!

I agree the scene seems a little yellow, but the comp and mood you captured is great. It feels peaceful and serene. Great details. I'm sure there are many compositional opportunities with the various cascades and rocks.

Brian, real nice comp but the white balance seems off. To yellow on my screen. Real nice water flow coming off the rocks. Beautiful place.

I will echo what everyone else has said. Beautiful scene, but a distinct yellow cast. I wuold love to see how it looks with the colors more balanced.

Beautiful autumn scene, Brian. Excellent composition in my opinion. Does seem a bit on the warm side overall. Nicely done.

Very nice image and it looks like there are several areas for intimate shots. I agree with the other comments about too much yellow...

"I did not even notice this rock until I arrived home and looked at the photo." I had to chuckle at that statement, because it's happened to me more than I care to remember.

To answer your question, yes I do think that terraced rock would have made an excellent fg subject to focus on, looking at this image. While this image is wonderful as captured, I think using that rock as more of main element could have added a bit of impact to this type of image. Nice work and I look forward to your future images from here.

Wow, sounds like a fantastic park. I agree with many the overall scene looks pretty warm but that is easily corrected. Comp is very effective and shows off the creek nicely. Now you have yet another reason to go back and work on an image with the rock. From the looks of it there is definitely potential there.

I really appreciate all of the comments. I am still learning how to use Lightroom and PS. After reading the comments and taking another look at the photograph, I realized I over adjusted the white balance in an effort to accenutate the fall colors. Thanks to all for your help!!
