Skykomish River, WA State. Depicts the kind of autumn season we are having: some trees completely bare, others all green, others in full color, but not as bright as years past. Still it was a fine day to be in the Cascade Mountains along this calm section of water.

Thanks for stopping for a look.

Very calming and serene scene. I like how the river leads the eye from front to back.

Very nice autumn image Catherine. I love the clarity of the water and the great color reflecting off it. :toast:

Very nice, peaceful scene, Catherine. I like the warm tones which make looking at it even more pleasant.

I think I could sit and watch this scene all day, if I were there. Great light, nice color, and the easy flow of the stream really lends to the calming effect of this image. Beautiful work.

Sounds like the kind of fall we're having here in the southern Appalachians. I love the muted color palette and the tranquil mood. My only suggestion might be to cut back on the sharpening a little bit to give a softer feeling more in keeping with the mood.

I like the scene, especially the trees in back. I could see maybe cropping some of the foreground water.

This is nice! I really enjoy the warm autumn reflections and the leaves floating down the river.

Lovely bright scene Catherine. It has been a weird year, hasn't it! The gorge is looking pretty decent now, quite late.
