This weekend me and my good friend Arild went to Lofoten and met up with some english photographers who was out there for the week. The plan was to go to Utakleiv and catch some seascapes, but on the way there we saw the light to the east looked good and took a detour to Henningsvær. The mountains north of Henningsvær are really beautiful and when the warm morning light hit them at this angle it really made them pop. I think including the little house give some sense of scale to the shot.

Pleased to hear your thoughts on this!

You did catch some nice warm light here Hakon! I think including the building shows the grandeur of the mountains. I also light the moody sky.

Great light, Hakon! As you already mentioned the house does lend a sense of scale to the image. I imagine the owner wakes up to an awesome view in the morning.

Way to cool, adding the red house was a good idea, stunning image with the light on the cliffs, snow capped mts and good clouds, wonderful composition and placement of elements, way to go.
