Nikon D300, 50mm + 36mm ET. F/4.5, 1/5sec, ISO 200.
A huge magnification of the anthers of my Canadian climbing rose. It's soft, but I hope the beautiful shapes will please you. Comments appreciated.

Albert, yes, it's soft but it's beautiful. I feel as though I'm entering a foggy tunnel without knowing quite what to expect.

Gorgeous color and fascinating shapes Albert. I might crop a little from the bottom just to even out the frame. I realize you did this soft and low contrast but I'd be tempted to do a little selective contrast or levels on the center of the flower to make it pop a bit more. Regardless, I like it as posted - beautiful floral image.

Soft works for me Albert. I bet this would work well as a textured image.

Albert:
Lovely soft image. Like this a lot as posted. The luminosity of the petals is really great.

Those lines in the center really draw you in! I agree that I might play with a little lightness in the center, but that's more of an alternative than an adjustment.

Very nice Albert. I like the colours and soft focus. I might be tempted to go for a square crop on this one.

Excellent colors, and nice shapes for sure Albert. I like the lines that are visible toward the center of the flower. Nicely done.

Lovely colors and lighting but the softness bothers me a bit BUT not much I'm in agreement with Pat's suggestion. Nice, Albert.

Super Soft feel there, Albert. Glad to see you putting the 50mm + ET combination to some real hard work . Specially like the colors and the special lighting here (is it the backlighting ?) .

Is it the backlighting? Asked Ram. Yes , it's backlighting done in my bay window, with no wind... Do you think at f/9, the detail could have been better?

Albert: I do like the colors but I'm really not connecting with the softness of the anthers. More or less sharp would suit me better. >=))>
