Another sweet one Ronnie. I remember places like this from my years in Louisiana. Gotta love those cypress tree swamps.

I feel as though I'm right there watching this heron. I love the dof you chose for this with just the hint of cypress trees. Your photos never cease to amaze me! Sharon

Very cool! The lighting makes this for me. With the darker background and shaded duckweed behind the tree the heron is on, it really makes the bird in the foreground pop out.

Deep rich tones just pull you in. Like the crop you've chosen. I couldn't have resisted the urge to crop in close to show the excellent bird skills. Love it.

Creative composition using the huge cypress tree to really anchor the shot and the sea of green duckweed adds a pleasant contrast. Another textbook shot

Great image of a Green Heron. You really put him in his environment and the colors are great.

Beautiful, Ronnie. Lovely light as always and I like the pose. I think this works well with the bird relatively small in the frame and the massiveness of the cypresses coming through. :toast:

Really like this one Ronnie. Wish I had taken it. The OOF trees behind the heron add to this image as does the pose of the heron. Thanks for sharing.

Another very fine image, Ronnie. Great focus on the bird and I like how the light trails off into the background, this shows the enviroment very well.
