This was a grab shot taken through my double glazed patio doors and I was standing about 14 feet from the bird.
I had to hold the camera in portrait mode as the glass panels aren't very wide.

I cropped off the distracting handrail from the bottom and a bit off the top too, I don't like cropping too much with that camera as it only has 6.3 megapixels.

I know some won't like the man made perch but it was either that or nothing.

A gorgeous bird and reallly nice considering you took it through glass. Sharon

Your windows must be much cleaner or clearer than mine! Would have never guessed it was taken through a couple of panes of glass. Very nice look at the bird, good details, a nice feeder shot.

I am envious. My shots are not this good without all that glass.

Amazing detail and crispness for hand holding at that shutter speed, Geoffrey. I don't mind the perch. :toast:

Geoffrey,

Nice work getting this through the glass, your jays are remarkably lovely.
