American Robin

Yep, it's just a Robin, but a handsome one at that. They are migrating right now and seem to be everywhere. I couldn't resist such an easy subject and surprisingly I really don't have that many in my collection.

Beautiful Bryan. I really love the colors in this. Head turn is nice with OOF foreground and OOF background. If you have it I might add just a smidgen of canvas on the laft side. It's a little bit tight for me. Otherwise zero nits on this Bryan. I'm loving this. :toast:

I agree with David. Just a bit tight for me, too.

Nicely done, good setting and pose.

I'm the same! Don't have a heck of a lot of shots, even though they're everywhere! Far to easy to ignore the common birds.

Excellent Robin, Bryan. I like the stretched neck and the breast-on angle. Your nice low viewpoint helped this image a lot. This is a species that takes a special pose to look really impressive, and you caught one here. :toast:

They are moving here, too, and this is how I see them often at home. We do tend to 'ignore' them, for some reason.

Bryan,

I agree with you, this is a handsome Robin. I love the alert pose and the greens of the grasses compliment the wonderful natural colors of the bird. Lovely details & sharpness.

I believe I have a photo very similar to this somewhere! I never would have passed this up either. Common as they are, they aren't particularly easy to catch still. I like this a lot. Sharon

You say they are easy. Admittedly they are common at certain times of the year and relatively still and not really skittish--but for some reason they are hard to shoot. I thinks it's something about that dark eye with the white surrounding feathers. I like this one.
