The Stairs to Mordor

Not a typical landscape shot. As I am a fan of Tolkien, I just had to capture these stairs. The low hanging clouds and the little light that lit the mountain side reminded me of when Gollum showed Frodo and Sam the way to "She". From my trip to Norway and Innerdalen last week.

I'm afraid I'm not a big fan of Tolkien, but I am a fan of this image! Extremely moody, kind of a "Lost World" atmosphere. Very nice.

Cool shot! Are these the darkest depths of Mordor?

Very darky somber mood and I love the result, totally sci-fi.

Does look very Tolkeinish! Id like to see a little more clarity or tonal seperation--otherwise, excellent!

Nice shot Christer. The clouds really add drama to the scene. I like the dark and moody feel you have captured here.

Great textures on those cliffs. The clouds and the dark processing really add a fantastic mood.

Christer, I really like the mood you have captured on this shot.
It does have that cinematic feel to it.

Dark and moody, but it works well. I can see a crop from the bottom or maybe bringing more detail there to strenghten the composition. Nicely done, Christer and for some reason, the scene looks very familiar.
