Beach at the End H

Golden Bay, New Zealand

Here is a horizontal version of a previous post. I don't usually keep a vertical and horizontal version of an image in my portfolio but this one shows the interesting sea caves common in the region. In fact I accessed this beach when the tide was higher through the cave on the right.

Canon 5DMkII, 16-35mm 2.8L, blend of 2 exposures.

I missed the vert, but this one looks great. The sublte reflections in the water are wonderful.

I recall the vertical and this is just as stunning.

I too missed the vert. This is wonderful, but the vert is even better and my preference between the two.

This is some pretty spectacular scenery. I really like the dark tones you've maintained and the textures in the fg are very good. I remember your vertical composition well and I like this one at least as much.

Much nicer, and less overwrought than the seaweed shot mate. I thought you tried a bit hard with that one but this is lovely. Got your money's worth out of New Zealand eh?

Lovely shot as usual, that background rock formation is amazing and the sand detail and colour as well.

Lovely image. I always love the sand patterns around beach pools when exposed to soft twilight backlighting...Glorious scene. I like also the triangular shape formed by the rock, the sun and the distant cave...Well done Kah

Another beautiful image. I remember the vert and like this one just as much if not even more. Pretty cool seeing the cave you came through to get access to this spot. Wonderful color and reflection. The pattern and texture in the wet sand is very interesting to look at, and I like this comp very much. Sure would like to have been there along with you to see this.

Another magical shot Kah, this horizontal version has a smoother tone distribution from foreground to background, probably the blending technique is more appropriate than filter for this high contrast scene, and from my side this results to be more pleasing to view.
