Horseshoe in Haze

This has turned out to be one of my favorite places to visit when in the Jasper area. My attempt here was to try to bring out the emerald colour of the lake without overdoing the colour or exposure of anything else. In the background you can see the haze from the forest fires burning in British Columbia and being carried thru the Rockies as it heads towards the east coast. The smoke in this case isn't nearly as prominent as it was in my last post in ESS. I got to the lake much later than I had hoped but I felt the image was still worth sharing.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by for a look.

As always your thoughts and comments are welcome and appreciated.

Nice cove with interesting rock formations. I have two thoughts though. First the sunken section of dock or whatever, while interesting, I feel detracts from the solitude of the image. Second, I may try shooting either a little lower or higher angle to see if the submerged rocks in the FG could be enhanced.

I really like this Mark, the sunken dock, the clear waters and the nice composition. A place that I'd like to visit for sure. Thanks for sharing!
