Sorry I have not been around much lately. One thing after another just keeps on happening. This time it was because my family and I have been laid waste with....Whooping Cough! So much for vaccines :frown: There is an outbreak in the U.S. right now, and as I so rudely learned, if you were vaccinated as a child, the vaccine does not confer lifetime immunity. Get a booster if you can.

Very annoying cough, especially at night, making sleep very difficult. We have about 5 more days of antibiotics and quarantine before we can hope for a semi-normal back to life routine.

This was the last photo I was working on for a client who wanted to use as a landing page image for a website. I liked it as a B&W and thought I would share.

C&C welcomed.

Shen-Hao 4x5, 150mm, Fuji Provia 100F, BW conversion via Channel Mixer and deep yellow photo filter, and TK masks in PS.

Wow, what a terrific image. Something to look at everywhere. The gnarled forms and lighting couldn't work any better here IMO. A bit of wind motion is evident but doesn't matter much to me if at all.

Wonderfully dynamic image you've got here. Works very well as a black and white. I love how the central "V" shape in the tree really anchors the composition while everything else is kinda fighting against that anchor -- making the whole image feel dynamic and alive. And great tonality. Nice work.

A stunning fine art b&w, Youssef! The interplay of dark and light especially in the twisted branches is mesmerizing. Get well soon!

Superb detail, great hues, fine light and a very strong composition for my tastes. I like it a lot.

Youssef,

A grand, old oak, beautifully captured and nicely presented as b&w. What impresses me perhaps more than the tree itself and it's grand, expanding branches, is how you've included a fair amount of grasses that surround the tree and allowing the light to make a play in the foreground grasses.

My only nit would be the darkness and lack of detail in the branches near the top. Very minor, but something I picked up on. Otherwise, a grand oak captured beautifully.

I an enjoying this photograph for its stately nature. A complex scene which makes for interesting viewing, specially when presented via this delightful composition. Well done, Youssef.

Glad to hear you're on the mend Youssef. This is very impressive, and I actually think the wind movement aids the overall image. Excellent work.
