Tried to shoot birds yesterday, but arrived at Pine Gully park on Galveston Bay too late. I didn't want to go home empty-handed. These are dead trees as a result of the hurricane we had in our area two years ago.

I love the salmon colored sky and i think this is a real worthy subject. Usually silhouettes work best when there is a strong focus or spatial arrangement--less is usually more. For example, I think the right half or the left half here is stronger than the whole, which is somehwat 'spread-out' and disorganized. Neat shot though!

Dottie,

Too bad you missed the birds because this is a great setting to have one or more perched on these snags. Where's a good old Turkey Vulture when you need one?

I'll echo Stan's comments about the comp, although I'm particular to the right half. Well, a little more than half cause I would include that center snag. Toss a bird perched in there and this could have been great. Nice silhouette as captured with a great sky. It just needs that little something extra to maintain interest.
