An eagle standing watch over the nest, shot this morning in Wayne County, PA. Great experience, painful too!
D-60, ISO-400 but never left, 1/1,000th, f-5.6, full 200mm on a very bright day. I'll take it, larger posted. Thanks for looking!

Thanks Rich as always. I know there are a ton of eagle shots, this was my first time near a nest and to see an eaglet. Very cool after a painful walk, the way back felt better. I'm not even worried about only having the 200mm, not right at the moment anyway!

I like this and think it's one of your best avian posts. Nice composition with the adult perched above the nest

Thanks Nate, have to agree. Still wish for better than a 200mm to get the eaglet, but I am pretty happy w/ it overall. I think one of the adult only to come is probably about my best so far. Appreciate your help.

Bill, I like the view of nest, youngster and parent seemingly standing guard. I've never had the opportunity to even see a nesting eagle and would love to one day. You did well here with those 200mm.

Bill
It is always nice to see a nesting eagle, even better with a chick in the nest.
