Catawba

Rhododendron catawbiense, one of three rhodies I have growing in my yard. This species as well as R. maximum are native to Virginia. Catawba is flowering now, with R. maximum to follow in about a month. All comments/suggestions much appreciated.

Excellent semi-circle formation here with some triangles in between. That is how I see this, Philip. Very pretty and it does have a nice 3D feel to it :wavey:

I am envious; I do not have a single image of a rhodie that I have been happy with, Phillip. This is very striking. I will have to check out my white one tomorrow morning.
