Hare in flight

I haven't been posting or commenting here in a while now, mainly because I was busy with other stuff and have shifted more to landscape photography this year. I do still have some images from germany to show later but first something from my own country, a wild hare sprinting away in the early mornig light.

I chose this variant of the sequence I shot because the position of the paws indicate the speed this little guy was running at. Nothing special about the image but wanted to share it anyway. Feel free to comment  (I know the jpg conversion was not ideal  )

I like the mood and composition you chose here, Jorne. Of course (probably like you) I kinda' wish you had gotten more of a sideways profile of the hare.
Either way, great shot! :toast: :jump:

Hey Jorne, we've missed you in this gallery. I understand the landscape shift, especially when living in Holland, which IMO is actually a great country for that with all its manmade shapes, lines and curves, which provide many compositional opportunities. Aslo the weather with all its fog and rain can be turned into an advantage.
I like the way you have chosen the hare to be proportionally small in the frame here, giving it plenty room to run into. What works less for me though is the angle of the hare.

Hey Jorne,

Good to see you poking your head in here! Will you be posting your landscape work in the ESS gallery? I'll poke my head in from time to time.

RE: this image. Nice shot of grass, but it looks to me like you've got a large brown dust speck on your sensor near the left side of the frame. Should be easy to clone that out! KIDDING!!! My comments parallel Vincent's on this shot but what strikes me the most (and makes me smile) is the angle of the hare in the air. I hope no one suggests you level the image (that would be as bad as being told to clone out the subject!!).

Cheers...take care...

Brad

Hi Jorne, nice to see you back in the gallery! I can't top the commentary of the others! I will add that however that what would make it better to my eye would be for you to ask him to run a little more toward the lens! I hope you strive to find more fauna subjects to share, but I understand that in the Netherlands they might be smaller than bears.

Thanks guys, it's good to be posting in fauna again, sadly im running out of wildlife images! i'll try and hop in more often to at least keep commenting. My landscape stuff is in ESS indeed, nothing special yet :jump: , hopefully my trip to iceland will change that (if they turn off that vulcano that is).

Agree on rather seeing the hare running toward me but I think the hare running toward the photographer still has to be born
