While going through my archives I came across this image from this popular spot in Southern Utah which I haven't worked on until recently. While this shot has been done many times over, I do like the sunstar I got on this particular frame. I guess it might be worth the "icon tax." It was taken on Easter morning 2006. Not sure why I took so long to process it, but here it is. C&C appreciated.

You'll have to dig into your Archives more often Joshua. Great job here, love the sunstar. Also commented on RMNP.

Excellent image Joshua. You've retained a great deal of detail in the shadowed portions of this image. Well done.

It's an icon, yes, but it looks good! I would not mind having made it...

This is just one of those must see and shoot places. Always beautiful light and warm glow on all the rocks Joshua. I still have a few myself I haven't yet processed from this place so I can understand why you took so long.

Gorgeous Joshua. Sunstar sets this apart from a lot of others from this location. Outstanding.

Very nice - I think we all need to stop being embarrassed by the whole icon thing. They've been shot thousands of times because they're beautiful and we all like to take pictures of beautiful things - when did that become a crime? Outstanding job with the difficult light conditions on this one.

This is a good example of how even a familiar place has yet to reveal all its possibilities. The sun star and context make a great image.

Your processing is wonderful and the sunstar looks great, although it is a little bit more centered than what I'd prefer. I think maybe you could crop a bit down off the top of the arch and possibly accentuate the highlights in the FG rocks as well - minor nits - this is an excellent image. Congrats. Michael

I've seen this place before (on photos) but it's always a pleasure to revisit it through the eyes of a photographer. Wonderful capture; the textures on the FG looks always lifelike.
My only minor nit would be the chromatic red on the edges of the Arch and the mountains, but it's just me, looking very carefully.
Great work!
