Wahclella Falls

Early enough on a winter morning to avoid too much sunlight, with attendant bright spots and reflections here. This is a panoramic combination of 3 vertical shots at 17mm. (with a plastic shower cap to protect the lens from the mist between shots!)

I really like the perspective here. I also like the shutter speed that you chose because it retained detail in the rushing water which really conveys the power of the waterfall and the flow of the water in the foreground. I also like the emerald color in the water which complements the fantastic greens in the mosses. I could get lost in the large photo.

Like the others, I like the peaceful green. This seem to me like one of those shots where overexposure in the white foam does not detract from the shot because white is exactly what one would expect. Might be intertesting to try an HDR combination if you have multiple exposures.

The moss-covered rocks make for an interesting frame to the falls. I like the scene and the stitching looks good. Overall the color balance seems a bit warm on my monitor.

The greens are just wonderful. The shutter speed was just right - one can see the power of the falling water at the falls and how fast it flows. The large version is awesome. Great job.

Man that water looks powerful! Well balanced and dynamic composition too, I like the water motion at the bottom of the frame in particular.

You know what I really like about this one? It helps to convey the ruggedness of this area. I have never seen a photo (including my own) that conveys the massiveness. But this one really helps people feel the ruggedness of the area. Nice job here! :toast:

Nice comp and stitching. I also like the color and shutter speed. Good choice to go with iso 500 to get that 1/6 sec.

Nicely done; I particularly like the balance in your composition. The shower cap seems like a good idea . . . I sometimes use a UV filter that I screw on partially between shots, but that's a pain. I'm waiting for someone to market a clear lens cap.

I really like the flow of the water at the bottom. Nice composition that leads the eye around the photo in an effective way.

Perfect colors - the vibrant green is definitely not too much, and is perfect foiled by the darker green of the water in the lower right. Love the composition and the way it makes me just want to wade upstream (hah!) into the scene. I do find the highlights on the rock in the upper left and middle right just a touch distracting - at first I thought they were additional splashing droplets, but not at the shutter speed. I might pull down the brightness just a bit, to try to mute said highlights and maybe get just a bit less saturation in the waterfall itself - it seems just a little blown out.

Great job!
