Tiger in the jungle pond
by Jagdeep Rajput
This image may be more than fifteen years old, taken from the Elephant back. It was one of the magical moments, when setting sun was illuminating the tiger, but not touching the water in the pond.
Thanking you for your kind attention & views !

5 commentsNice rendering of a magical moment! I love the focused look of the tiger and the curving pose/body position of the tiger is very appealing. The critical region on the head looks very sharp - well done! I suppose some may argue that this shot might be a little stronger if shot from a lower angle, but barring finding a shorter elephant to ride on I see no way this could have been accomplished!
To my eye and personal visual preferences I think this scene lends itself better to a horizontal format - I think I'd prefer to have more water shown to the right of the tiger than the vegetation above the tiger. Of course, this is being said without knowledge of what's outside the frame to the right (which could have been not worth including in the frame). On my monitor the reflections in the water have a strong magenta cast - original slide capture using Velvia perhaps?
Cheers...thanks for sharing this...
